Frozen fat
tissues are composed with adipocytes(90-95%), stromal structures with stem
cells, but all cells are not viable. Fortunately, stromal scaffolds like structures
can induce stem cells to move dead graft from recipients area, then new stem
cells would be differentiate to new adipocytes. They contains numerous natural
human growth factors bind to collagen, laminin, elastin etc. But volume can be
maintained much lesser than fresh fat grafts. We have been
used modified frozen fat to compensate absorption however, we recently changed
the way of uses, because of several problems like cysts, harder tissues, too
much absorption. In direct uses,
We always centrifuge after thawing with high rpm and metal weight to remove
free oil then several adjuvant materials could be used. 1. newly
isolated stem cells(autologous or homologous) from new fat harvests or already
being proliferated. 2. dried porcine
collagen powders(Thraform™). 3. PRP 4. disposed and
collected stem cell culture media 5. H/A filler 6. Barbed
threads As conclusions, Frozen dead fat tissues
also can be grafted, but the effect is limited. Several
additives and process modification methods could improve clinical results, so
authors have been stored remained fat from patients to 1 year and we believe
the values. |
